Most people hear "psychologist" and think therapy or medication. What I actually do is a little different, and honestly, a lot more interesting.

As a psychologist serving Texas courts and clients across 40 PSYPACT states, I go into courtrooms, jails, hospitals, and offices to conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations that help attorneys, judges, juries, and families make sense of complex mental health questions. I assess competency, evaluate risk, examine parenting capacity, and provide expert witness testimony, because the people consuming my work deserve to be genuinely informed, not just handed a report.

I’m SO glad you’re here!

Licensed psychologist in Southlake, TX. Trusted expert. Straight answers, every time.

About Dr. Dixon

I started my career with the U.S. Department of Justice and in the Federal Bureau of Prisons, where I learned what it means to do this work at the highest level of scrutiny. I brought that same standard into private practice. It shapes everything I do: how thoroughly I review records, how carefully I craft my reports, and how accessible I make myself to the attorneys and clients I work with.

Whether you found me through a referral or stumbled across this site on your own, I'm glad you're here. Let's figure out if I'm the right fit for what you need.

Informed people make better decisions. That is the foundation of everything I do. Whether I am helping the court understand the psychological complexity in a case, supporting an attorney in building a stronger argument, or helping an individual understand their own mind, my goal is always the same: to leave every person I work with more informed than when they arrived.

My Mission

view services

From forensic evaluations and expert witness testimony to clinical assessments and behind-the-scenes consultation... Every case is different. The standard never is.

Let's Work Together

Luke 12:48 (NIV)

"From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked."

Field Leadership

I serve as Vice President of the Texas chapter of ATSA, sit on the board of the Texas chapter of AFCC, and am the past president of the Fort Worth Area Psychological Association. This field matters to me, not just as a practice, but as a profession worth shaping.

Credentials

Licensed psychologist in Texas and California, PSYPACT certified across 40 states, and one of a small number of licensed psychologists in Texas holding the Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider (LSOTP) designation. I earned my doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology and completed an APA internship with the Department of Justice, continuing my career at a Federal Medical Center. After nearly eight years of service, I transitioned into private practice.
